FREE Wellness Center Orientations
Did you know that all YMCA members are eligible to get a FREE orientation in the Wellness Center? You can sign up at your convenience, and receive one on one coaching from YMCA wellness staff. Learn how to properly use the cardio and strength training equipment, and set up a personal work out plan! You can sign up as many times as you need to until you feel confidant and comfortable using the equipment. Orientations are a great opportunity to learn which machines are recommended for targeting your "trouble spots"! Orientations last just over an hour. Sign up by calling (517) 784-YMCA or stop by the Wellness Center desk.
AQUATICS
The pool is open, as scheduled!!!
The YMCA management and staff would like to thank everyone for their support as we “freshened up” and made repairs to our aquatics area. Some of the improvements include fresh paint, new grout in the large pool and marzite in the small pool, new lights, filter covers and much more! Come check it out! Thanks to maintenance and aquatics staff for all of their hard work the last few weeks!
Swim Team
The Orca swim team is a semi competitive swim team for children. Children practice between two and five days a week, and compete in swim meets throughout the year. The program emphasizes YMCA core values, teamwork, and individual goal setting and accomplishments. Monthly fees can be drafted automatically from your checking or savings account. For more information contact the front desk at (517)784-YMCA, or April Smith, Aquatics Program Director, by e-mail at april@jacksonymca.org.
